  • Title Of Presentation : Searching for Intellectual Curiosity: A Retrospective Analysis

Amber Derksen is a Certified Nurse Educator with nearly 25 years of nursing experience, received her PhD in Family Nursing from Hampton University.  She’s been invested in teaching baccalaureate nursing for 12 years.  She has 20 years as a hospice/palliative care nurse as well as 5 years in oncology and oncology research.  Her passion for nursing education has taken her all over the world.  Her research into intellectual curiosity has sparked interprofessional discussions of student performance.  She has also presented her research on grief and bereavement throughout the United States.  She continues to investigate issues in student learning as well as strategies to implement hospice and palliative care into nursing curricula.

Shawna LeBouthillier is a Registered Nurse at Guelph General Hospital and a professor with McMaster University. She received a bachelor’s degree in the science of nursing from McMaster University, and a master’s degree in nursing: education focus from Athabasca University. Her current practical experience is in intensive care nursing and interventional radiology. She is passionate about clinical education and assisting students to develop their clinical skills and evidence-based knowledge using an innovative, critical-thinking approach that challenges traditional teaching and learning strategies.

She has extensive experience in project management and program design for infection control, employee health, occupational health, vascular access services, infusion services and National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG) programs.

  • Title Of Presentation : Cesarean Section Mothers’ Perceptions of Skin-to-Skin Contact: Qualitative Research Findings Associated with a Quality Improvement Initiative

Cheryl Zauderer has been a registered nurse since 1985.  Her areas of expertise are in maternal newborn health, and psychiatric mental health. Her areas of research are in Postpartum/Perinatal Mood Disorders (PPMD) and Skin-to-Skin Contact. She is currently an Professor Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. Cheryl has also served as a board member for PSI (Postpartum Support International) and has been the Nassau/Suffolk coordinator for PSI since 2009. Cheryl has authored a book entitled Maternity Leave: A New Mothers Guide to the First Six Weeks Postpartum, Praeclarus Press. It is a self-help book for new mothers focusing on the first six weeks postpartum. She has an active social network and maintains a blog on her website containing current evidence based information for new mothers. She maintains a thriving private practice where she treats women for perinatal mood disorders and other women’s health issues by providing psychotherapy and psychopharmacology.

Nuriye Buyukkayaci Duman  graduated from Hacettepe University School of Nursing in 2000 as the third in her class.  She completed her master's degree in nursing program of Ghazi University Health Sciences Institute at 2005 and doctorate degree in Erciyes University Institute of Health Sciences in Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing at 2010. In 2013, she was scholar visiting professor in Nazareth College in Rochester, New York, USA.  She became associate professor in 2017.  She worked a deputy director in Hittite University Faculty of Health Sciences at 2017-2018.  She has been working as a vice-dean since 2018.  Also she has been working as head of Nursing Department and Gynecology and Obstetrics Nursing Department. Her interest subjects are gynecology and obstetrics, sexuality and reproductive health. She has many publications and book/book chapters. She has participated in many congresses, workshops and courses related to her academic fields.

Halil Ibrahim Erdim

  • Title Of Presentation : THE RISK AND HAZARDS FROM THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT IN THE HOSPITAL FOR NURSES, IN TRNC

Halil Ibrahim Erdim was born in Cyprus. He became a mining engineer in 1974 (Istanbul Technical University). Until 1992 he worked in limestone quarries, brick factories, gypsum factories, foundries, metal working shops. Between 1992- 2002 he published books and magazines in his small offset printing shop. After 2002 he took part in Environmental Impact Assessment reports and quarry management plans. He participated local and international activities such as UN Sustainable development Studies in Newyork  (2008), EU Greenweek studies in Brussels  (2009), XXI International Congress of Occupational Safety and Health in Singapore (2017) . Since 2009 he is Occupational Safety and Health Trainer and lecturer in Cyprus International University since 2016.He has more than 40 published books and 20 of them are about occupational Safety and Health. He has more than 1000 printed newspaper articles. He took part in establishing a lot of NGO’s in North Cyprus. For example:

* Chamber of Mining, Metallurgical and Geological Engineers
* Social İnsurancies association of North Cyprus
* Society of the Authentic Products of Cyprus
* TASOVA (Foundation of Quarries)He is member of a lot of NGO’s.  He used to be a member of EAEG (European Association of Exploration Geophysics) and IOSH.

  • Title Of Presentation : The chronic sorrow experiences of caregivers of clients with schizophrenia in Taiwan: A phenomenological study

Kuo-Jui Chang is a clinical nurse in National Taiwan University Hospital. After graduated from college, she worked in a surgical intensive care unit in Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital. During that period, she also found her interest in psychiatry. Therefore, she enrolled in China Medical University and received a master degree in psychiatric nursing. She started to work as a psychiatric nurse in NTUH since then, including psychosis ward, neurosis ward and adult day care center. Her research focus on chronic sorrow and cultural differences.

Fatma Elhabib is basicly, a senior nurse in Hedi Chaker University Hospital Center Tunisia, before she studied in Higher Institute of Accounting and Business Administration. Defying her limits to be a recognized nurse in her native country, she conducted outdoor experiments like France, the UAE. Her modest career has gone from executive to coordinator and now to safety and management.

Dr. Hubertus Franke is professor for Logistics and Information Management at the Ostfalia –University of Applied Sciences. Before that, he had professorships in the federal states Hesse, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt and worked as Senior Manager in several industrial companies. He is operating as Head of the Institute for Logistics Optimization at the Ostfalia - University of Applied Sciences, since 2013. Furthermore, he teaches in various courses and study programs of logistics and computer sciences in Salzgitter/Germany. Since 2017, he is leading research projects of “Information Technology in Hospital Networks“. He focused his research and publication activities in Information Technology, Logistics and decentralized Supply Chain Management. Especially the sustainable development of logistics in healthcare and nursing is one of his favorite research areas.
